Analogue to digital - and back

Digital technologies have revolutionised almost every aspect of our life, from shopping and banking, to security, education and the way we work. One of the central priorities of the European Commission is to make sure that people and businesses can take full advantage of the new opportunities that this digital revolution offers – in other words, building a Europe fit for the digital age.

While younger European citizens may have grown up with digital technologies and can adapt quickly as they evolve, it is important that no-one is left behind. The Creative Europe programme, with its inclusive approach, is encouraging young and old, from urban and rural areas, whether prosperous or disadvantaged, to explore and to make use of digital technologies.

The 2 contrasting project stories highlighted here illustrate the range of potential applications for using digital technologies, for the benefit of everyone.
