Free Speech Space is a thematic site that brings together 14 landmark places across Czechia to tell a European story of resistance to censorship and the struggle for freedom of expression under 20th-century totalitarian regimes. The site functions as a networked European space of remembrance, reflecting experiences common to many countries across Europe during the Cold War and beyond. 

The action plan addresses contemporary European challenges such as disinformation, media freedom and democratic resilience. By operating as a connected European site Free Speech Space demonstrates how freedom of expression is a shared European achievement and responsibility, reinforcing democracy, human rights and pluralism at a continental scale.
