Esch’s slogan was “REMIX Culture”. The programme celebrated the history of this cross-border city from the industrial age based on the steel industry until today's knowledge society and its future potential in the era of digital revolution.
Kaunas
Under the slogan “from temporary to Contemporary Capital”, the city that was Lithuania’s capital during the interwar period showcased its modernist architecture and proved to be an innovative and culturally vibrant city.
Novi Sad
Novi Sad’s motto was “For New Bridges”. The programme aimed to further connect the city’s and region’s cultural community and inhabitants with the European Union (EU) and reinforce their links with the rest of the Western Balkans area.
