The new European Heritage Label Bureau operates as an umbrella organisation for the European Heritage Label sites and follows the successful EHL@Network project that took place between 2019 and 2022.

The new project pursues the objectives stemming from this network and offers the European Heritage Label sites and national coordinators opportunities for the following activities:

  • networking
  • collaboration
  • training opportunities
  • outreach and visibility operations

The project started in March 2023 and concludes in July 2026.

Objectives of the bureau

The European Heritage Label Bureau has the following objectives:

  • development of synergies between sites, national coordinators and active players in the cultural heritage sector
  • capacity-building of sites and national coordinators by providing peer-to-peer learning opportunities and easy access to information through a future resource centre
  • support the communication and promotion activities by establishing a strong outreach plan based on stakeholders’ different needs, through an appealing visual identity, strong communication strategies and knowledge regarding the target audiences - especially youth and marginalised communities

Background information

The selection of the European Heritage Label Bureau follows a call for applications to support the implementation of the European Heritage Label.
