Creative Europe supports the greening of the music sector
A new consortium will provide guidance, training, and financial support to music organisations for the green transition and the environmental sustainability of the music sector.
Starting in January 2026, GreenBeat Nexus will conduct extensive research, training, and redistribute €3.6 million to at least 60 third-party projects until 2029. The aim of the project is to address the music sector’s environmental footprint and to drive systemic change.
The project’s objectives are to:
- map sustainability challenges and best practices
- build capacity and facilitate knowledge transfer
- provide financial support for green innovation
Background
The GreenBeat Nexus project has been selected following the Music Moves Europe call on greening the music sector.
The project is led by a consortium coordinated by INOVA+ and includes the European Music Council, The Green Room, On the Move, and KEA European Affairs.
