First call for participants: peer learning visits on high quality architecture and built environment

Do you want to learn about high-quality architecture and built environment from other European cities and regions? Here’s your chance to participate in a peer learning visit in 2024.

Who should apply

This call is open to

  • policymakers both at political/decision-making and technical levels (from city and/or regional administrations)
  • individual participants representing
    • urban planners and architects
    • civil society organisations
    • NGOs
    • cultural initiatives/projects
    • local/regional organisations
    • thematic associations
  • other relevant stakeholders with a thoroughly demonstrated interest and expertise in architecture and the built environment

Why you should apply

Based on the Living Spaces catalogue of good practices, the peer-learning visits are an opportunity to see first-hand how other cities and regions have implemented policies and projects contributing to a high-quality living environment for everyone.

The visits are a unique opportunity for personal and professional growth.

Participants will gain valuable experience in architecture and the built environment and will enhance their knowledge and skills.

The visits will offer networking opportunities and will connect peers, experts and relevant stakeholders from different background and cities/regions.

The project covers travel, accommodation and meals during the visit.

Living Spaces: an opportunity to learn from each other

The peer learning visits are developed as part of Living Spaces - Cities and regions shaping the built environment for everyone, the European peer-learning programme on high-quality architecture and built environment.

A new European catalogue “Cities and regions driving high-quality architecture” featuring 30 good practices from 17 European countries was released last month. The peer learning visits will take place in 12 of those cities and regions featured in the catalogue.

How to apply

Submit your application online by 18 January 2024.

A second call for participants in the peer learning visits is scheduled for spring 2024.
