Music Moves Europe Awards 2024: 20 years of celebrating new talents

The winners of the EU prize for popular and contemporary music were revealed at the award ceremony during the Eurosonic Noorderslag festival in the Netherlands.

The jury selected 5 winners for the Music Moves Europe Awards and the winner of the new Grand Jury prize. This last goes to the most outstanding revelation among the 15 nominees.

At the same time fans across the world voted online for their favourite artist, the Public Choice Winner.

The Grand Jury Music Moves Europe (MME) Award 2024 went to

  • Zaho de Sagazan (France)

The other winners of the 2024 MME Awards were

  • Yunè Pinku (Ireland)
  • Bulgarian Cartrader (Bulgaria)
  • Giift (Denmark)
  • freekind. (Slovenia)
  • Ralphie Choo (Spain)

The Public Choice Award went to

  • Zaho de Sagazan (France)

Congratulating all laureates of the 20-anniversary edition, Iliana Ivanova, Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, stated:

The Music Moves Europe Awards resonate with the vibrant heart of our continent, amplifying the diverse melodies that define our cultural symphony. These awards shine a light on a new generation of outstanding musicians and support them on their way to an international career while also celebrating our European cultural diversity, united by the universal language of music. The public can discover these emerging talents as part of the showcase programme at the Eurosonic Noorderslag festival.

Supporting emerging talents in their international career

5 Music Moves Europe Award winners receives €10 000 each. The winner of the Grand Jury Award receives €10 000 and a green touring voucher worth €5 000. The winner of the Public Choice Award also receives €5 000.

All 15 nominees are invited for an education day to get an insight into the music business and to learn from established professionals. Furthermore, they get the opportunity to perform at the Eurosonic Noorderslag festival.

The Music Moves Europe Awards are co-funded by Creative Europe, the EU funding programme for the culture and audiovisual sectors and are implemented by Eurosonic Noorderslag and Reeperbahn Festival with the support of partners from the music industry.
