These are the winners of the Young Talent Award 2023
The European Commission and the Fundació Mies van der Rohe announced the winners at a side-event during the Venice Biennale.
Georg Häusler, Director of Culture, Creativity and Sport at the Directorate General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture announced the winners during the EUmies Awards Day 2023.
The winners of young talent 2023 are
- Laura Hurley from the School of Engineering and Architecture, SEFS of the University College Cork & Munster Technological University with the Project “Peripheral Cartographies”
- Dinko Jelecevic from the Faculty of Architecture of the Graz University of Technology with the project “Valter”
- María de la O Molina Pérez-Tomé from the Madrid School of Architecture of the Polytechnic University of Madrid with the project “Eden Archipelago”
The event included the granting ceremony and a series of debates with the winners which took place in Palazzo Michiel in Venice, as part of a side event at the 18th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, one of only 9 officially labelled “collateral events".

The Young Talent Award is granted every second year to three recently graduated architects, urban planners and landscape architects.
