Call for artists to perform at Culture Moves Europe’s 3 year anniversary

Deadline
28 Jan 2025

About the event

To celebrate the first 3 years of Culture Moves Europe and create bridges to the future, Culture Moves Europe is organising an in-person event on 3 April 2025, in Brussels, Belgium.
This event will involve grantees of Culture Moves Europe, the local cultural and artistic community and policy makers.

What we are looking for

Organisers seek three artistic contributions for the event. The artists selected will have the opportunity to perform and/or showcase their artistic work live at the event. For this they will receive a performance fee, as well as coverage of travel and accommodation costs.
Those interested can submit their applications individually or in groups of up to five people, provided that at least one applicant is a former grantee of the Culture Moves Europe Individual Mobility Action

Apply in one of the three categories

All artistic interventions will take place in an indoor cultural venue (further details to be discussed during pre-selection phase, see Timeline below) to an audience of 150 to 200 people. The audience is composed of representatives of the European Institutions and the creative and cultural sector, as well as the general public.

Applicants must choose from one of the three categories:

Long performance (30-45min) + Q&A (20min)

Selected artists will be asked to join a short and informal Q&A on stage conducted by the event’s moderator (appointed by the Culture Moves Europe team).

The questions will be about the artist’s work, their experience of cultural mobility in Europe, the topics of inclusion and/or environmental sustainability in their work, and the Culture Moves Europe grant. More details and the specific questions will be provided in advance before the event.

Short Performance (15-30min)

DJ Set (3 hours)

The time of the performance will be split between ambience music during catering and reception and a danceable set in the evening.
