Culture Moves Europe third call for individual mobility: 1586 grantees selected
Artists and cultural professionals from 39 countries have been selected in the third call for individual mobility. They will carry out their projects in almost every Creative Europe country in spring, 2025.

With a total budget of €2 443 860 this call has selected 1 586 grantees, bringing the total number of mobility grants awarded in the first edition of Culture Moves Europe to over 6 thousand. The figure underscores the Culture Moves Europe’s substantial impact on facilitating artistic mobility across Europe.
More projects from previously underrepresented countries
In a notable shift, participation from previously underrepresented countries has more than doubled, rising from 3.8% to 8% of lead applicants. Countries such as
- Albania
- Armenia
- Bosnia and Herzegovina
- Tunisia
have seen a surge in successful applications, following targeted outreach efforts.
Participation from overseas countries and territories and outermost regions
Culture Moves Europe’s support expands beyond continental borders, with 33 grants awarded to participants from or working in overseas countries and territories and outermost regions (OCT/OR), including
- Sint Maarten
- French Polynesia
- Greenland
On the rise: architecture, heritage, design, fashion and literature
Visual arts, performing arts, and music continue to attract most of the attention from applicants. However, for the third call, Culture Moves Europe has witnessed a broadening of interest:

- design
- fashion
- literature
now comprise nearly a quarter of the 970 selected projects, injecting fresh perspectives into the cultural landscape.
Increased interest in accessibility and family top-ups
Inclusivity has been a key focus, with 22 projects requesting accessibility support grants. Moreover, 111 family top-ups were awarded to applicants with young children, representing 7% of grantees and supporting artists balancing family commitments with their creative pursuits.
