Nominees and jury announced for the 2026 EUmies Awards
410 works nominated for the 2026 EUmies Awards, Europe’s top prize for contemporary architecture. The European Commission and Fundació Mies van der Rohe also presented the jury, chaired by Smiljan Radić.
On 6 November 2025, the European Commission and the Fundació Mies van der Rohe announced the nominees and jury of the 2026 EUmies Awards, the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture / Mies van der Rohe Awards.
410 works from 40 countries nominated
This edition features 410 built works from 40 countries and 143 regions, reflecting the richness, diversity and innovation of contemporary architecture across Europe. The nominated projects, proposed by independent experts and national architecture associations, were completed between May 2023 and April 2025.
The jury
The organiser announced also the jury for the 2026 edition of the awards. Smiljan Radić is the chair of the jury and the other members are

The international jury will shortlist 40 projects.

Announcement of the winners in Oulu, one of the 2026 European Capitals of Culture.

The celebration will continue in Barcelona, the World Capital of Architecture 2026, with the EUmies Awards Days in May, featuring debates, exhibitions and the official Awards Ceremony at the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion.
