Open Public Consultation in relation with the evaluation of the Creative Europe programme

The objective of the consultation is to collect the views of stakeholder groups as well as the general public, in addition to the organisations and individuals directly involved in or benefiting from the activities of the Creative Europe programme.

Status: Open

Field: Creative Europe Programme

Target group: General public/stakeholders

Period of Consultation: 23/01 - 16/04/2017

Objective: The consultation aims to gather comments and perspectives on the relevance of the Creative Europe programme's objectives, the effectiveness of the measures taken to achieve them and the efficiency of their implementation. Thus, the consultation aims to establish the added value of the Programme in relation to the challenges and opportunities of cultural and audiovisual sectors, compared to what could be achieved by Member States only.

The consultation covers the three strands of the Creative Europe programme, namely the Culture sub-programme, the MEDIA sub-programme, and the Cross-sectoral strand.

Finally, the public consultation includes forward looking questions regarding a possible successor programme to Creative Europe after 2020.

Consultation document: The consultation is hosted on the website of ICF Consult. The consultation must be responded to on-line only, and replies sent by email will not be accepted.

An extract of the questions has also been made available in pdf format to assist with the preparation of responses.

Although the questionnaire will only be available in English, respondents are welcome to answer in any of the official languages of the European Union.

Protection of personal data: Please consult the specific privacy statement to know how the European Commission ensures the protection of personal data in this open public consultation.

Results of the consultation and next steps: The results of the public consultation will be used together with the other data and evidence to inform the ongoing independent mid-term evaluation of the Creative Europe Programme.

Once the evaluation is completed, the European Commission will adopt a Report, drawing on other studies and sources of information, addressed to the European Parliament and Council. This will include a summary of the results of this consultation.
