Culture Moves Europe second call for individual mobility: 2870 selected
Artists and cultural professionals from 39 countries have been selected in the second call for individual mobility to implement their projects in another Creative Europe country.
With a total budget of more than €5 million, this second call was particularly appealing for emerging artists, who account for about 60% of the beneficiaries.
Geographical distribution of the grantees
Successful applicants come from 39 Creative Europe countries, most of them from Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Belgium and Portugal. From outside the EU, applicants from Ukraine, Serbia and Norway were the most successful.
More applicants from literature and architecture
In the second call for individual mobility, applications from visual arts, music and performing arts represent almost 80% of selected projects.
The share of successful applications from design and fashion design, cultural heritage, architecture and literature is growing.
Successful applicants in literature and architecture increased in particular: they almost doubled their share from the previous edition.
How beneficiaries used additional funding
1171 successful applicants (40,8% of the total) have requested green top up funding to travel in a more sustainable way.
190 selected applicants have requested the family top-up (6,6%).
68 grantees will be travelling to or from the Overseas Countries and Territories or the Outermost Regions of the EU. This is also a big increase from the previous call, their number doubled compared to the first call. The main outbound projects are coming from the Azores, the Canary Islands, Guadeloupe, Madeira and Reunion.
18 selected applicants have received additional funding to cover costs for their special mobility needs in relation to a disability.
