On the occasion of World Opera Day, Opera Europa is announcing their new initiative, the Opera Europa Next Generation platform, during the conference they are holding on 25 October 2024, in Turin, Italy.

This platform, funded by the Creative Europe programme, will support emerging artists working in opera and dance in Europe starting from January 2025. It will offer onsite and online means to support, train and promote about 560 artists over four years.

This platform will help artists in the following ways:

- enable artists to build connections worldwide with other performing arts professionals and with audiences

- provide knowledge and skills to artists to make it easier for them to enter the job market and to be resilient

- help artists to better understand their roles and to engage with their audience

About Opera Europa

Opera Europa is one the leading service organisations for professional companies and opera festivals throughout Europe. The consortium started in 2015 with its streaming platform OperaVision. It currently serves over 233 members from 44 countries.
