In 2024 the European Union Prize for Literature (EUPL) is turning 15. To celebrate, the organisers of the Prize - the Federation of the European Publishers (FEP) and the International and European Booksellers federation (EIBF) - are organising an event series in Brussels.

The main event will take place at Flagey: 20 authors who have been nominated between 2022 and 2024 will meet with readers and participate in debates and group discussions. Representatives from the European commission and the European parliament will also be there. 

In addition to this, other side events will take place throughout Brussels where authors will be able to meet with their audience.

About EUPL

For 15 consecutive years, the EUPL has celebrated outstanding emerging literary talents from all 40 countries participating in the Creative Europe programme. EUPL brings uninterrupted support to the wealth and diversity of European literatures and promotion of the circulation of European literary works of fiction. 

Since its first edition in 2009, no less than 176 authors have been recognized and promoted, to help them reach wider audiences and to get readers to discover new literary talents from a diversity of languages.
