Every year, the European Commission implements Pilot Projects (PP) and Preparatory Actions (PA) at the request of the European Parliament. The list changes on an annual basis. These actions sometimes target the news media and creative sectors.
The following actions are expected to be launched in 2024 for support in 2025:
- Art and the digital: unleashing creativity for European water management
- Promote worldwide a European way to digital innovation rooted in culture
- The European Union - the media freedom hub
- Technical means to provide Russian households with trustworthy information
- European Festival of Journalism and Media Information Literacy
- A European public sphere: a new online media offer for young Europeans
- Network of European fact-checkers to fight disinformation
- European Narratives Observatory to fight disinformation
